Evaluation of your prior credit is a required step for ALL students applying to the Nursing program. This process should be started after you have completed all nursing prerequisites and final grades have been posted.
  • If you have completed ALL prerequisites at SBVC only, please meet with a Nursing Counselor to complete an Evaluation for Application.
  • If you have completed prerequisites at other colleges,  please follow Admissions & Records steps to submit your official transcripts and request an evaluation of prior credit.

Nursing applications that do not contain a completed Evaluation of College Credits Earned from an Admissions & Records evaluator or Nursing Counselor will be denied.

Please allow plenty of time for the evaluation process to be completed. No exceptions will be made for students who do not submit a request for evaluation within the required time frames.

Please double-check your courses to ensure they have been evaluated and accepted. Look for an asterisk () on science courses. If an asterisk () appears, refer to the Notes section on your Evaluation for an explanation.
