AI Task Force Charge

Develop and recommend policies, frameworks, and best practices for the ethical and effective integration of artificial intelligence technologies at San Bernardino Valley College. The task force will provide guidance to the Academic Senate and potentially the college community on AI literacy, professional development, academic integrity, and strategic planning aligned with CCCCO Vision 2030 and ASCCC recommendations.

 

Membership

The task force is compsed of 1 senator or division designee for every 15 full-time faculty per division

Spring 2026 AI Faculty Survey

A survey was conducted by the Academic Senate AI Task Force from March 13 to April 6, 2026 to understand faculty experiences, concerns, and professional development needs related to artificial intelligence. Responses are being used to directly shape the recommendations that the task force is developing this semester, including an AI literacy framework, sample syllabus language, a professional development plan for Fall 2026, and input on the district's emerging AI policy (AP 3775).
