Assistive Technology

We provide students with training to access essential assistive technology (AT) software and hardware to support students' individual needs, enhance their independence, and enable them to access academic resources.

High Tech Center (HTC)

The High Tech Center is an accessible computer lab, equipped with adaptive technologies that promote equal access to education. Students receive individualized support in obtaining alternative media, training to use assistive technology, and navigating learning management systems and academic platforms, while developing the skills needed for academic success in a welcoming, barrier-free environment.

Alternative Media

We provide instructional materials in accessible formats—including audiobooks, Braille, large print, electronic text, and other alternative media—to ensure equitable access to course content and support each student's preferred method of learning.

Testing Accommodations

We will work with you and your professor to set up appropriate accommodations for course exams. 

Tutoring

One-on-one tutoring in a variety of subjects

Specialized Counseling

You will work individually with our SAS counselor and learning disabilities specialist to set up and review your accommodations and plan for your academic goals

 

Start Receiving Services

To begin receiving services, you must be a current SBVC student. After completing the college admissions, you can complete the SAS application.
