Wendy Lopez MedinaI am attending San Bernardino Valley Collage to succeed in life and starting my first year of my undergraduate career getting a Associates in Public Health or Health sciences then to transfer to a 4 year to get my bachelor’s for physician assistant school. What I love about Valley collage is how supportive the environment is and all the different clubs, programs, resources in many different things to help us students succeed. Something I enjoy doing outside of school is giving back to my community and going go my volunteer site in Rialto school district STEM center from collage corps. 2025 Homecoming Royal (Most Student Votes!) |

I'm attending sanbernadino valley college to do my culinary prereqs avoiding debt and saving lots of money at this college so this opportunity at SBVC could help me start my own food business. My 3rd month at SBVC I've been learning how the sunroom restaurant works so when I have my own restaurant I'll know how to run my own high end restaurant and cooking things that I've never cooked before and tasting foods, especially using those certain recipes its always good to try new things even if you've never had that type of food before you never know when you'll like that type of food again.Being in this culinary class in the sunroom is also going to help me be in the chef industry later in life in 2035 ill have my own italian restaurant so far I've enjoyed being a culinary major at SBVC. What I love about SBVC is that its affordable and it helps me be debt free avoiding debt ,saving lots of money to help me transfer to a university,I enjoy walking around campus its a good way to get some fresh air.I enjoy meeting new people and so far I've found my circle that could relate to me and helps me gives me advice when I need it. What I enjoy outside of school is enjoying being with my family im a family of 8 and the oldest sibling out of my 5 siblings and its 6 of us in total and a good role model I feel like if im the chef of the house I could mentor my siblings going the same path as me in the culinary field and teaching my siblings new techniques like when I have my food truck business and my restaurant im going to let all my siblings work aside with me if I ever get tired of the business my siblings can carry it on for years. 2025 Homecoming Royal (Runner Up) |

Itzel Mariano SaldanaI am attending San Bernardino Valley College because I would like to get my associates degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. I also wanted an opportunity to succeed as an undocumented student since I didn’t have that when I first went into college. I wanted to see progression of my personal and professional development and when I came to Valley, I slowly began to develop that as a student. Not only did I want to see growth but I wanted to push my limits and seek guidance on how to succeed as a STEM student. I felt lost when I began my journey in college, but at Valley I see myself rising up and accomplishing something. I love how the professors are more invested in helping their students. I love how we have a Dreamers Resource Center that is passionate of providing students with a better undocumented experience. I love the STEM-MESA Center because the coordinator and the tutoring staff is so supportive and take their time in providing students with opportunities and information to pass their classes. I love how I found community and support within peers and faculty/staff that have given me guidance on how to become a better me. I love attending conferences which help me develop networking skills and going to events on campus which helps me grow in my community engagement. I love my time at Valley and how much difference I can make during my time here. Something I enjoy doing outside school would be playing video games and streaming on Twitch. Lately I’ve been playing Little Nightmares 3 and it’s been more interesting because they have the option to play multiplayer within someone who has the game or I can share it with them as long as they have the same console. I also enjoy going on walks with my family and talking about stressful situations we’ve experienced throughout the day and it gives the chance to release all that negative energy through our walk. I enjoy listening to The Weeknd while playing sudoku since it helps me concentrate on the game without distractions. I enjoy spending time and going out with my boyfriend to watch movies while eating ice cream or play board games to distract ourselves. I enjoy spending time with my siblings playing Roblox, mostly playing Among Us or 99 Nights and see who is better at the game. I enjoy a lot outside of school. |

Kennedy PlummerI am attending Valley college because of all the things I've heard about it from previous teachers and friends. I've only heard positive things so I decided to give it a chance and so far I love it. I am majoring in Electronic Technology, with two certificates in HVAC and Solar technology, overall studying to be a full blown electrician. My end goal is to have a simple blue collar job that allows me to pursue other hobbies such as Theatre and Tenis with also saving up to buy a nice house that I plan to remodel myself so it becomes a home. I love the community at Valley college, so far I have met so many interesting people, all with different experiences and stories that are enlightening to listen to. Outside of school I spend most of my time exercising, mostly hiking. There are a few hiking trails within walking distance of where I live that I enjoy going to, I love to watch the sky change and pick flowers as I hike, generally enjoy my time away from the rest of society. |
