The SBVC Psychiatric Technology Department will accept online applications beginning 3/1/23 to 3/15/23. When completing the application you must answer all the questions thoroughly and submit the required documents. Also, have your official high school transcripts (or higher level degree) and all other official transcripts submitted to Admissions & Records prior to applying.

The Admissions & Records department will only accept the evaluation request of “Prior College Credits Earned” beginning January 3, 2023 through February 28, 2023 for the Psych Tech student who have completed all the prerequisite courses for the program. This opening period is for the Fall 2023.
The Psychiatric Technology Program is a one-year vocational program that prepares students to work with clients with emotionally, mentally and developmentally accessibility needs. The Psychiatric Technology Program prepares students to take the California Psychiatric Technician licensing examination. The Psychiatric Technology program is accredited by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians. Students may also choose to earn an Associate Degree.

The workshop will be hybrid on August 30th from 12-2:00pm. Learn more about the process, deadlines, personal statement, and obtaining letters of recommedations. It's recommended that you register, but not required to attend. It will be located in LA-100.
