San Bernardino Valley College has articulation agreements with all University of California (UC) campuses and the majority of the California State University (CSU) campuses, as well as many independent universities in California and out-of-state.  The articulation agreements identify courses completed at one institution that are equivalent to the requirements of another institution for major preparation, general education and transfer.

By following the courses listed on the articulation agreements between SBVC and the university of choice for transfer, students can eliminate coursework duplication, reduce college credit educational expenses and gain advanced education.

  • Completion of all the requirements of the IGETC (The Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum) will permit students to transfer to a UC campus without the need to take additional lower-division general education courses.
  • Completion of all the requirements of the CSUGE (California State University General Education Pattern) will permit students to transfer to a CSU campus without the need to take additional lower-division general education courses.
