The Research and Planning Department receives several research requests weekly. Each request is prioritized individually according to many factors. To provide transparency regarding our prioritization process, priority is given on a scale of 1–5, with "1" being top priority. The following factors are used to assign a priority number to each request: 

  • Scope of impact (e.g., district; division; department; campus organization)
  • Purpose of the request (e.g., state/federal reports, initiative-related data, board reports, grants)
  • Grant or government agency deadline
  • Amount of work involved
