The Research and Planning Department receives several research requests weekly, and each request is prioritized individually according to many factors. To provide transparency regarding our prioritization process, the department would like to share this information with you. Priority is given on a scale of 1–7, with "1" being top priority. The following factors are used to assign a priority number to each request.

  • Scope of impact (district; entire campus; division; department; campus organization; personal interest)
  • Requestor (Priority is given to the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, President, Vice Presidents)
  • Grant or government agency deadline
  • Amount of work involved

You will be notified via email to you with an update once your request has been assigned a priority number.
