Andrew Haro was expected to do great things for the San Bernardino Valley College men’s soccer team during the 2020 season. The incoming sophomore had shifted into a starting role late in the 2019 season, trying to fill gaps in a depleted midfield corps.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic ended up having other ideas for the 2020 soccer season. The SBVC men’s soccer season, along with the rest of the Wolverines’ fall and winter sports offerings were shuttered due to continued health concerns.

But that did not keep the Perris High School graduate from continuing his education, and pursuing his dream of playing at the next level. Haro has committed to continue his college career at Pacific Union College, an NAIA school located in Angwin, Calif.

“Andrew is a technically sound player, who always showed up for us, no matter what his role was at the time,” SBVC head coach Josh Brown said.

Haro will join a squad that will be led by recently hired head coach Shane Shelton, who has coached several levels of soccer across Southern California.
