Apply for Financial Aid

To Apply for Financial Aid, you will either complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (for Dreamer Students).

After you apply, you may be required to complete some additional tasks to complete the application. You can view your status at any time using Self-Service.

Your financial aid award will be dispursed electronically. The disbursement schedule will vary depending on the award type(s) you are receiving.

We offer financial aid programs to all students:

California College Promise Grant

The CA College Promise Grant waives enrollment fees for eligible students.

Grants

A grant is money that you don't need to pay back. SBVC offers a variety of grants.

Work-study

Earn a portion of your college expenses through part-time employment during the school year.

Scholarships

The SBVC Foundation Scholarships provides awards every year exclusively to SBVC Students.

Loans

A student loan is money that you borrow but must pay back.
