FoodIEFest 2018

San Bernardino Valley College is hosting an international food festival, called FoodIEFest 2018! Various vendors from the IE will be part of a laidback atmosphere where anything savory or sweet can be purchased or sampled. 

WHEN: April 24, 2018, 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

WHERE: Auditorium Lawn + Sun Room + Den Coffee Shop

MINI FOOD FESTIVAL & CONCERT: Our "mini food festival" will be offering an assortment of Native American, Mexican, Korean and Thai food for sale right on the Auditorium Lawn. Grab a bite to eat, set up a picnic blanket on our lawn and watch the musical and dance performances at the Olive Tree Circle. The concert will be brought to you by the Associated Student Government of SBVC. During the festival, the Sun Room will serve the following: 

  • Brat and Kraut $4.50
  • Elotes $3.00
  • Sliders 2 for $4.50
  • Teriyaki chicken slider- teriyaki chicken, pineapple, Swiss on a pretzel roll
  • BBQ Slider- Beef, bbq sauce, cheddar cheese, grilled onion on a pretzel roll

INTERNATIONAL FLAG PARADE: At 3:00pm, watch SBVC students take part in an "international flag parade" from Campus Center to the Auditorium. Each flag will represent a country of origin for students, faculty, and staff at SBVC.

SPECIAL SUN ROOM MENU: The Culinary Arts Program will be serving a special menu in the Sunroom, inspired by international cuisine, which will run during their normal hours from 11am-1pm:

Each item is tapas-style, which means a couple of bites. Please feel free to try multiple items!

  • Greek Salad- mixed greens, feta cheese, olives, diced cucumber, garbanzo beans, pepperoncini’s, and tomatoes served with a Greek style lemon vinaigrette.   Small $4.00   Large $7.50
  • Mediterranean Salad- mixed greens, grape tomatoes, diced cucumber, roasted pine nuts, olives, and artichoke hearts and parmesan twill.       Small $4.00    Large $7.50
  •  International Slider Flight $6.00 per plate includes garlic parsley fries
  • Fish and Chip Slider- battered fish burger with a remoulade sauce
  • Stuffed Italian burger- stuffed with pepperoni and burrata cheese, topped with baby portabella mushrooms, melted cheese and marinara sauce.
  • Black and Bleu- ground beef mixed with blackened seasoning and topped with grilled onions and blue cheese.
  • Side order of garlic parsley fries $2.50

***Vegan: beyond meat can be substituted for the beef patties***

Small plates:  $4.00 each

  • French style crab cakes – two small crab cakes served with a sriracha lemon aioli 
  • Orange Chicken served with steamed rice- a small serving of steamed rice topped with orange chicken
  • Butternut squash- three raviolis served in a walnut cream sauce
  • Eggs Benedict- One poached egg on a bed of spinach and tomato topped with a Lemon Hollandaise Sauce
  • Chicken Picatta – a small serving of linguini pasta topped with 2 ounces of chicken Picatta  
  • Cup of Gumbo- andouille sausage, chicken, shrimp and veggies

Dessert:   $1.95 per serving

  • Berry Tiramisu Trifle
  • Macaroons – 3 per plate, Blackberry, Strawberry, Apricot
  • Baklava- Three pieces of Walnut Baklava
