For AB540 Dreamer students currently attending SBVC or who plan to attend starting Fall 2021, you will need to complete the online California Dream Act Application. For students trying to register for the Fall 2021 semester, you may need to pay for your classes and obtain a refund if you do not complete the online California Dream Act Application at least 2 weeks prior to registration.

SBVC Dreamer students may complete the online 2021-2022 Dream Act application starting in October 2020 to receive Cal Grants and Chafee Grants beginning the Fall 2021 semester at CSU, UC, California Community Colleges, and private four year colleges/universities.

The Dream Act application process can be confusing for students, so please make sure you understand the important updates below:

  • SBVC Dreamer students will use the 2021-2022 CA Dream Act Application to apply for a CCPG or a 2021-2022 Cal Grant, starting in October 2020.
  • The current 2020-2021 Dream Act Application will be used to award financial aid at SBVC for the 2020-2021 school year.
