Courses offered by the Department of Communication Studies are designed to foster pragmatic, professional and social communication skills. Emphasis is placed on the nurturing and development of techniques and aptitude essential for both effective public and interpersonal communication - a prerequisite for both occupational and personal success. Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution and major in Communication Studies should consult with a counselor regarding the transfer process and lower division requirements.
