The Institute of Media Arts supports the aspirations of our local filmmaker community in the Inland Empire region, through access to a variety of filmmaking equipment.

Requirements to Rent:

  • You must carry a minimum of $1,000,000 in Film Production Liability Insurance 
  • You must have a major credit card
  • You must offer a work experience opportunity to a San Bernardino Community College Media Arts Student

*Notes:

  • IMA Staff will make a best effort to place a student with your production
  • Rentals subject upon equipment availability 

*All proceeds of rentals go to support San Bernardino Valley College Media Arts students for supplies and scholarships.

Media Incubator Services

The incubator offers small businesses, non-profits, and government entities video production services at affordable rates. Our video production crews are made up of Institute Staff and interns from the Film, TV, Media program.

Cinema 

Now Announcing that we are in pre-production on an original feature film written by one of our San Bernardino Valley College RTVF Students. The title of the film is "A Diamond Set in Black." This is a low budget thriller in the realm of "The Evil Dead." The script was written in our Media Writing Class RTVF 106 during the fall 2019 semester.

The film is scheduled to begin production on February 27, 2020. Follow our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube channel for updates.

Studio Production

As a student through the media academy you will have access to KVCR TV studio space to learn and create. Join studio production classes through the media academy and produce commercials, sketch comedy, and multi-camera productions in a professional studio environment.

Loco Valley - Sketch Comedy Show

Production of this sketch comedy show began in Spring 2019, with the first episode complete in Fall 2019. Episodes will broadcast on KVCR-TV (PBS) and our YouTube Channel. During our summer 2020 session you can sign up for the RTVF 104 Broadcast Writing class to start work on the second episode, which will begin production in Fall 2020. This is an IMDB credit project.
