Charge:

The Facilities & Safety Committee is charged to identify and recommand to the College Council specific actions and strategic plans that serve the intitution's mission. This committee moves the San Bernardino Valley College community towards an improved educational environment with respect to health and safety, facility appearance and maintenance, environmental sustainability, grounds utility, and inclusiveness of intersecting sociocultural aspects and entities. This committee makes appropriate recommendations on facility modifications and planning of new facilities through the shared governance process. The committee also reviews and provides input on District's safety programs. Furthermore, it is our charge to collaborate with and advise the District's Facilities Advisory Committee to advocate for and communitcate SBVC's interests.

Membership:

Membership is comprised of the Vice President of Administrative Services, the Director of Maintenance and Operations, District Police Supervisor, Dean of Student Development, DSPS Coordinator, two students and other interested administrators, faculty, staff and students.
