KinderCaminata, a collaboration between SBVC and the San Bernardino City Unified School District, brought more than 1,200 students from 26 elementary schools to the SBVC campus. The event took place over six days in March and April, and organizers hope to make this an annual event. SBVC's Outreach team organized KinderCaminata, and Outreach Coordinator Amanda Moody said both teachers and administrators were "very happy" with how it turned out. "It was an amazing event," she added. "We hosted over 1,200 kindergarten students, who we hope will be future Wolverines."

During KinderCaminata, students viewed a STEM-MESA presentation and theater arts performance, and participated in events with SBVC mascot Blue. The college is all about making connections with the community, and being able to show kids everything higher education has to offer is part of that mission.
