Dual Admission Transfer Agreement

Dual Admission Transfer Agreement between CSU San Bernardino and San Bernardino Valley College

Dual Admission Transfer Agreement Program is a collaboration between San Bernardino Valley College and CSU San Bernardino that guarantees to admit a student as an upper division transfer student in the major and term they provided.  They must complete the agreed upon requirements no later than the term preceding entry.


  1. Complete a minimum to 60 transferable semester units with an overall grade point average of 2.00 or better (2.40 for nonresidents) and remain in good standing.

  2. Complete at least 39 units of general education which must include all four CSU general education basic skills courses in Oral Communication, Written Communication, Critical Thinking and Mathematics/Quantitative Reasoning OR complete IGETC (Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum) OR complete CSU General Education Breadth Certification Plan. These basic skills courses must each be completed with a grade of C (2.0) or better.
  3. Submit official transcripts from all colleges attended for verification of eligibility requirements.
  4. Apply for admission to the CSUSB campus for the term indicated by the initial filing periods; (in October for fall terms, June for winter terms, August for spring terms, February for summer terms).
  5. The admission application fee is waived. The easiest way to apply is on the web at CSU mentor.


Please note that the maximum number of semester units that may be transferred from a community colleges to the CSU is 70. It is strongly recommended that you complete the lower division preparation for the major; however, it is not a requirement for admission. Contact CSUSB concerning impacted majors.
