The mission of the Associate Degree Nursing Program is to provide comprehensive, quality registered nursing education by engaging diverse learners in professional nursing practice for the purpose of meeting the healthcare needs of the community.

The Nursing Department offers a sequence of courses leading to an Associate of Science degree with a major in nursing. Students learn to function in a variety of health care settings and assist patients, through the nursing process, attain or maintain their optimum level of wellness. Graduates are eligible to take the national licensing exam and become licensed as a Registered Nurse in California.

Learning activities are conducted on the San Bernardino Valley College campus and in local hospitals and community agencies. The program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). The nursing program is requiring all entering students to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated, which includes the booster.
