This degree prepares students for industry careers and may allow students interested in further study of Film, TV, or Media to transfer to the California State University of their choice as a junior. Priority is given for those Valley College students that transfer to CSUSB

AA Degree - Film Concentration

Our Film program provides students access to wide range of professional level equipment, which includes iMac Pro post-production work stations with Davinci Resolve, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Pro-Tools, and Audition. Additionally students have access to a variety of camera formats from mirrorless 4K, Sony FS7, and of the Arri Amira. This technology as well as our innovative curriculum allows students to think big to create dynamic portfolios and gain actual industry level credits. Students receive instruction and training designed to support seamless entry into the broadcasting industry or a four-year degree program.

Our TV program provides hands-on experiences in a state of the art 4K professional television studio at KVCR-TV (PBS affiliate). Learning with Emmy Award winning producers and technicians our students receive instruction and training designed to support seamless entry into the broadcasting industry or a four-year degree program.

We partner with our local and very popular KVCR radio and television stations here on campus, bringing the industry to the classroom. Our certificate pathways prepares you for a career in filmmaking, television, and media production. Certificates are innovative and immersive, providing you with access to state-of-the-art technology as well as consistent support from faculty and industry professionals. At SBVC, our certificates prepare you in all areas of production which includes logistics, creative, directing, editing, cinematography, audio design, radio, and of course pod-casting.
