Dr. Katherine Kiefer-Newman holds a Doctorate in cultural mythology, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, Master's in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology, and is also degreed in English Literature. She is a published academic author in such areas as Feminist Theory, Critical Theory, and Cultural Analysis; she is also a published author in the genres of memoir, personal essays, and fiction. With this background, she employs a multicultural, multi-gendered approach to the various courses that she teaches here at SBVC. She has a personal podcast and participated in Mt.
