Welcome to CD 105, CD 105H, CD 185 or CD 270.

I look forward to an exciting semester learning about child development and working with you in a hybrid format. In each of my classes, we will meet 5 times on-campus and the rest of your work will be completed online.

I open up the Canvas shell a few days before class begins and send out an email welcoming you to the class. After you log in, you will have access to the syllabus with all of the course and textbook information. If this is your first semester using Canvas, I recommend that you watch the introductory video about Canvas. I will provide more information in class at the first class session.

Please wait until the first day of class to hear about the textbook options in each of my classes.

There is a custom edition of the text with a online code for CD 105 & CD 105H at the campus bookstore. I will give you all options in class.

For CD 185, there is free option for the textbook.

For CD 270, there is only one required textbook and if you have access to it at CD/ECE work site, you may not need to purchase the text.

For all of these reasons, please wait until the first day of class to purchase the text books in each of my classes.

It is helpful if you read the syllabus before the first class to make sure you are interested in taking the section of the class I teach. Taking a hybrid class requires both in-class and online work - there are no exceptions!

I look forward to seeing you in our first on-campus meeting!

The best way to reach me is through email or I check my email frequently.

Thanks you! Kathy Adams
