  • The DE-LEC part of this class requires 10.8 hours per week of online instruction.
  • 5 week class from 07/01/19 to 08/01/19.
  • Participation in this class will consist of online interaction. Students must have access to a computer that has a reliable internet connection. Students should access http://online.valleycollege.edu during the week prior to the semester start date. All information regarding this class, including course-specific technology requirements, will be found on that webpage. Welcome! Whether you are enrolled in Music Appreciation or History of Rock and Roll, my goal is to provide an online learning environment that brings music history to life! Music tells the story of human history through rhythm and melody, song and dance, and expression of the soul. As I am challenged to capture the essence of music history in these online courses, I challenge you to seize this opportunity and take in the full experience!

The required textbook for Music Appreciation is The Enjoyment of Music (Shorter Twelfth Edition) ISBN-13: 978-0393936384, ISBN-10: 0393936384. A used copy is recommended for a lower price.

The required textbook for History of Rock and Roll is History of Rock & Roll Course Reader Kindle Edition, available for purchase on Amazon.
