  • Participation in this ONLINE course requires that students have access to a computer with a high speed Internet connection. Purchase of a Student Access Code is required and will give you access to an ebook. Students should access http://online.valleycollege.edu for course information. Check SBVC student email account for further instructions during the week prior to the course start date. The actual course may not be accessible until the first day of the class, Monday, August 14, 2017.

Please consider carefully whether this online class is the right class for you.

To succeed in an online class you must be self-motivated and you must be able to manage your time well. You need to be able to study on your own from videos, tutorials and textbook contents. You must be able to read all material, documents and announcements for the course and keep up with the timeline provided in our course calendar. You will need to spend approximately 12-15 hours per week studying for this course.

You also need to have unhindered access to your own computer that has a high speed internet connection and be able to download all of the necessary plug-ins from the course website.

You will need to purchase an Access Code ($80 - $100) within the first few days of the course start date (There is a grace period given by the company. Students can enroll without paying initially, but will be required to pay within 14 days to continue accessing the course site). Students should access CANVAS for directions and instructions to the course website. All students must be registered into the computer element of the course by Wednesday, August 16th at 8:00am or they may be dropped from the class in order to accommodate additional students.

The final exam for this course must be proctored and will be given on campus (Saturday, Dec. 9th). Each student will need to bring photo indentification.
