Instructor Comments :
Welcome to the brave new world of online history! Hope you like reading and writing, because they're both unavoidable. Survivors of this class report that it was more work than they expected, but also more enjoyable and rewarding. We'll see what you think about that (and about lots of other things).

This class takes place entirely online and never meets in the "real" world. The Canvas site will become available a few days before the official start, so check in ahead of time for the course syllabus, announcements, and such. I sent an email to all registered students detailing the book requirements. Check your campus email, or write me for the information.

PLEASE NOTE that, because the demand for classes is so great, if you are registered for the class, but fail to check in to the course Canvas site during the first 3 days of class, I will have to drop you and offer the space to someone from the wait list!

We will be making extensive use of discussion boards, online quizzing, and other interwebby stuff. We're all new to Canvas, so check out the tutorials and be ready to hit the ground running.

If you need to get in touch with me, email me at mrounds@sbccd.cc.ca.us.
