Notices:

Flu Vaccine is now available to students free of charge. We have injectable vaccine through spring semester and nasal mist available through the first week of January. No appointment needed. Come to Student Health office 8:30 to 4:30 monday to thursday and 8:30 to 11:30 on friday to get your vaccine.

The Counselor is IN- Look for our mental health counseling staff person, Dennis Harris LMFT, by the Health Services Cart Thursdays 10-11 in front of Physical Science Building and 11-12 in front of Campus Center. Get your questions answered about stress, anxiety, sleep, time management, suicide, and other mental health issues. Ask about the thought for the day. Call 483-4495 to make an appointment for individual confidential mental health counseling.

The Nurse is IN- The nurse or nurse practitioner will be out on campus to answer your medical questions, talk about weight management-smoking cessations-health literacy-sleep-back pain-topic of your choice, or just listen. Look for the Health Services Cart Tuesdays 10-11 in front of the Physical Science Building and 11-12 in front of Campus Center.  

Events:

Developing a Successful YOU, seminar will be offered in LA100 January 25, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Find- Direction, Your Unique Strengths, Confidence, Decision making skill, removing obstacles to success. Presenter is Kindra Edmondson MFT, Counseling Intern.

Health Fair: In the Quad on April 18; from 9:00am - 2:00pm. Free event! Health information presented in a playful way on Blood pressure, Belly Fat, Blood Sugar, Back pain, Good food, Stress management, First Aid, and more. Free give aways items, music, and fun movement. See our nursing students in action along with community groups sharing resources with you.

Blood Drives: Lifestream will be on campus for blood drives on January 24 and April 18, from 9:00 - 1:00. Look for the blood mobile out in front of the Campus Center/Bookstore.

Small Groups:

Successful YOU six week small group series: Learn about your Strengths- Starts (1/30-3/12 or 4/2-5/7 Mondays) or (2/1-3/7 Wednesday) or (4/5-5/10 Thursday) time= 1:00-200; in Student Health Office;  Come by the second session to join this group.
