How do I apply as an international student?
Applications are accepted for fall and spring semesters, and summer sessions. Applicants are required to submit a complete application package as well as an online application to the college. The deadlines to submit application packages are April 1 for fall semesters, September 1 for spring semesters, and February 1 for summer sessions. Please mail your complete application package to

A complete application package should include the following documents:
A high school diploma.
A nonrefundable application fee of $25.00 in a cashier's check or money order, payable to San Bernardino Valley College. A personal check from a bank within the U.S. is also acceptable.
- A TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score. The minimum score required for admissions is 450 for the paper-based test (PBT) or 45-46 for the internet-based test (iBT.) Information regarding test dates and locations can be found at www.ets.org. San Bernardino Valley College's Institution Code is 04679. The college also accepts IELTS scores. Official transcripts or official academic records from high school(s) and college(s), accompanied by a notarized translation if the originals are not in English.
An Affidavit of Support form
, a bank statement and an official bank letter, documenting sufficient funds to cover one year of expenses in the U.S. The amount must be at least $17,500 U.S. dollars.
A photocopy of the applicant's passport, with applicant’s name, date of birth and the expiration date of the passport.
A photocopy of the applicant’s current I-94, I-20 and visa and the Intent to Transfer form (if the applicant is currently studying in the U.S.)
After submitting your complete application package to the college, please complete San Bernardino Valley College (general) Application online. The online application site opens on April 1 for fall semesters, September 1 for spring semesters and February 1 for summer sessions.
If an applicant is admitted to the college, a letter of acceptance and an I-20 Form (used for applying for a student visa in an American embassy) will be mailed to the applicant.
