We make the utmost effort to see students in a timely manner. However, during registration periods, appointments fill quickly and students may experience longer wait time in the Drop-in Lobby.

The Counseling Department will have limited services on Friday, March 15th, as well as spring recess (March 18th - 22nd). Thank you for your understanding.

Counseling for your academic, career, and life goals.

Counseling services are available virtually via Cranium Café, a web-based counseling platform and in-person. SBVC counselors can assist you in making informed decisions about your academic, career, and life goals.

Counseling will have drop-in services (walk-in appointments) for the first two weeks of the semester.

Appointments are made two days in advance and open at midnight for available appointments. Appointment time will vary and will be personalized based on the individual needs of the student.

Drop-in services are available on a first-come, first-served basis for students with quick questions. Students will have up to 20 minutes with a counselors. Education plans may not be created during drop-in due to time constraints.

Late Arrival Policy
As a courtesy to other students and our faculty and staff, we expect that students will be on time to counseling appointments. However, we do understand that unexpected events may arise. We will accept late attendees up to ten (10) minutes after a scheduled appointment. Arriving late to an appointment will reduce your appointment duration by the amount of time you are late. Students arriving more than ten (10) minutes late will be required to reschedule their appointment.

Cancellation
Please contact the Counseling Department at (909) 384-4404 in advance if you will be unable to attend your appointment or check your student email for your ConexED confirmation email and you can cancel the appointment or reschedule.

No Show Policy
If you do not attend a scheduled appointment, you will be marked as a No Show. However, we do understand that unexpected events may arise. We will allow you to receive two No Shows without consequence. If you acquire three (3) or more No Shows, you will no longer be able to schedule counseling appointments online and will need to call our office.
