Online classes are a convenient way to continue your education and complete your degree
Whether you work full-time or stay at home raising children, San Bernardino Valley College offers access to the courses you need via the computer.
Taking online classes can be a more economical way to learn about a favorite subject or advance your career goals without setting foot on campus. Some classes may require attendance in person for completion of course requirements.
If you are considering online classes, visit the University of Houston's "TOOLS" site. Their "Test Of Online Learning Success" test will evaluate your readiness for online learning based on four criteria: basic technical and academic skills; the ability to study independently; good organizational skills; and the willingness to devote the same amount of time and effort as a face-to-face course. Although this is from the University of Houston, the same characteristics of readiness for online learning apply to SBVC students as well. (If you get a score of zero on this test, that is because your web browser is not compatible with the UH website. Switch to another browser and take the test to get your "real score.")
Online classes support SBVC's mission: "San Bernardino Valley College provides quality education and services that support a diverse community of learners."
