New location provides comfortable, dedicated location for hundreds of veterans pursuing their educational dreams on the SBVC campus.
Hundreds of veterans on the San Bernardino Valley College (SBVC) campus have started the fall semester by enjoying the benefits of the new, permanent location of the Veterans Resource Center
in the Campus Center Room 133. The Veterans Resource Center is dedicated to providing a supporting, encouraging, one-stop destination for veteran students as they pursue their educational goals at SBVC.
SBVC Interim President Dr. Larry Buckley, San Bernardino Community College District
(SBCCD) Board of Trustees, SBCCD Chancellor Bruce Baron and the Chancellor’s Taskforce on Services to Veterans are inviting the public to join staff, students, faculty, and veterans in dedicating the new Veterans Resource Center on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
Beyond a relaxed environment stocked with computers, the Veterans Affairs Office
previously housed in the Admissions/Records Office has been relocated to the Veterans Resource Center in the Campus Center to provide a one-stop location for many services to veterans. The Veterans Affairs Office serves as a liaison between veteran students, and the Department of Veteran Affairs. The office is equipped to assist veteran students with the appropriate forms to process claims for educational benefits. The office is also an information center to assist with any questions concerning veteran educational benefits or educational experiences at San Bernardino Valley College.
