Gresham Art Gallery Opens Year With Inside-Out Exhibition Featuring David Lawson

Experienced local artist showcases versatility of skills with oil, ink, prisma-colored pencils, and graphite on rag paper in exhibition entitled Inside-Out.

 david lawson inside out postcardThe first exhibition of the 2012-2013 academic year at SBVC‘s Clara & Allen Gresham Art Gallery features dozens of works from artist David Lawson entitled Inside-Out.

Running through September 7th, the show opened with an artist’s reception on Tuesday, August 21st as students, faculty, and community members interacted with Lawson while experiencing his wide-ranging work with a variety of media from oil and ink to Prisma-colored pencils and graphite on rag paper.

Based in southern California, Lawson’s artwork has been featured in national art publications since the 1980s. His museum and gallery exhibitions over the last several decades have featured photographs, paintings, drawings and more throughout the Inland Empire and the greater L.A. area. He has been receiving awards for his creations since the 1970s.

The Clara and Allen Gresham Art Gallery is located on the campus of San Bernardino Valley College at 701 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue in San Bernardino.
