“I want to thank all those who put so much work into preparing the Mid-Term Report last summer and fall,” said SBVC Interim President Larry Buckley who also served as the campus Accreditation Liaison Officer. “The tireless efforts of the campus provided the accrediting commission with evidence of the superior nature of our institution and provided our students and community with the assurance they deserve—that San Bernardino Valley College provides recognized quality educational opportunities.”

The Mid-Term Report is one of many checkpoints in the six-year review cycle of accreditation of all California community colleges. The next comprehensive evaluation of San Bernardino Valley College will occur in fall 2014.

“On behalf of the Commission, I wish to express continuing interest in the institution’s educational quality and students’ success,” stated ACCJC/WASC President Barbara Beno in her official letter to the campus dated February 1, 2012. “Professional self-regulation is the most effective means of assuring institutional integrity, effectiveness, and quality.”
