H. Frank Dominguez founded the Vanir Group of Companies, Inc. in San Bernardino in 1964. The corporation handles real estate developments, design-build leases and construction services. Dominguez died in 2004. A foundation that improves the learning environment for under-served school children was named in his honor.

H.  Frank Dominguez graduated from Colton High School and attended SBVC from 1957 to 1958. He founded the Vanir Group of Companies, Inc. in San Bernardino in 1964 when he was 25. Under his leadership, the Vanir Group completed more than $6 billion in real estate developments, design-build leases and construction services. Dominguez, a philanthropist, died in January 2004. The Vanir Foundation, named in his honor, creates pathways to success by improving the learning environment for under-served school children. Dominguez was selected by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as Hispanic Businessman of the Year and was appointed to the California Commission for Economic Development. Dominguez also served as a board member for the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund and as a founding board member of New America Alliance, an economic development and philanthropic organization comprised of nationally prominent Latino business leaders.
