When is a good time to apply for scholarships?
The best time to apply for scholarships is NOW and all year round! It is never too late or too early to apply for Outside Scholarships. The SBVC Scholarship Office recommends that students apply for scholarships at least once a month. The average student who completes 12 applications (or one application a month) by the end of the year will receive about 3 scholarships. That is based on a student with an average GPA around 2.5. For students with higher GPA's and active involvement in organizations and community the results can be even higher.
