To complete the Honors Program and receive Honors certification, and graduation and transfer benefits, students must satisfy each of the following requirements:
- Complete a minimum of 15 units in honors courses
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.5 (including having 3.5 at graduation)*
- Demonstrate a record of campus or community service and/or leadership (Currently, satisfying this requirement is fairly open, though all honors students are expected to participate in campus or community life. Note: Stricter and more specific guidelines will go into effect for those graduating after July 1 of 2015.) - Petition to graduate must be completed before published deadline (see Records Office) and exit meeting with Honors Counselor must occur at beginning of final semester to assure Honors certification for graduation and transfer purposes.
*Please note: students who joined the program before July 1, 2011, need to graduate with an overall GPA of 3.0 in college coursework and maintain a 3.3 in honors classes.
