This degree/certificate is designed to provide students with necessary skills for employment in the general welding field.
The objective of this degree/certificate is to provide students with an understanding of the terminology, concepts, procedures and skills used in the welding field to equip them with the fundamental skills necessary for entry- and intermediate-level employment.
For the associate degree, students must complete all requirements for the certificate with a Grade of C or better plus the general breadth requirements for the Associate of Science Degree (minimum total of 60 units).
Students working for certificates must have a basic knowledge of arithmetic, reading and writing in order to learn and work in the occupations they select.
Students must complete ALL of the REQUIRED COURSES plus ONE of the RESTRICTED ELECTIVE COURSES.
