This degree/certificate is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in construction inspection field.
International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) and International Code Councils (ICC) exams and licenses for construction, alteration, or repair of buildings and other structures to ensure compliance with building codes and ordinances, zoning regulations, and contract specifications are included in the course offerings.
For the associate degree, students must complete all requirements for the certificate with a Grade of C or better plus the general breadth requirements for the Associate of Science Degree (minimum total of 60 units).
Students working for certificates must have a basic knowledge of arithmetic, reading and writing in order to learn and work in the occupations they select.
