Successful completion of this certificate will allow an "Electrician Trainee" to sit for the California State General Electrician Certification examination.
"Electrician Trainees" will be allowed to work as electricians when they meet the Division of Apprenticeship Standards requirements.
The courses also satisfy the continuing education requirement every three years for certified electricians.
Students working for certificates must have a basic knowledge of arithmetic, reading and writing in order to learn and work in the occupations they select.
