Bus Service to SBVC

Sign #2 – Sustainable Sites - How many buses stop at SBVC on a typical school day?

picture of Omnitrans busOn Monday – Friday, between 5:23 am and 10:35 pm, Omnitrans Route 1 buses stop right in front of the SBVC campus on Mt. Vernon Avenue a whopping 123 times. Southbound buses stop 60 times and northbound buses make 63 stops.

In addition, Route 15 buses (which travel on Mill St. just north of campus), pass by 55 times each weekday (27 eastbound and 28 westbound) between 5:40 am and 7:27 pm.

Until the end of the 2017-2018, academic year, all SBVC students can ride for free on regular Omnitrans bus routes by simply sliding their valid SBVC student identification card upon stepping on to the bus. The Go Smart Program is valid anytime on any route, not just trips to and from campus.

Riding the safe and clean-fuel-burning bus to campus is not only a money-saving opportunity (gas, parking permits, and more) for all students, it is better for our environment.
