Locating the Faculty Recommendation

Note: Scholarship information and detailed instructions are updated each year.

Off Campus & Outside Scholarship information is updated monthly.

Please read through all scholarship guidelines very thoroughly BEFORE applying.

Please click on the heading above, "Scholarship Calendar of Events" to print out a calendar of upcoming scholarship deadlines, holidays and other relevant campus dates to remember. 

**IMPORTANT REMINDER** 

The 2010 SBVC Online Application is Closed, as of Monday 1/25/10 at noon.  You can look for more information about our annual online scholarship in the Fall semester.  If you have already applied for this year, you will be notified in your STUDENT email account before the award ceremony in May 2010. 

The SBVC Scholarship Online Application process begins:

Scholarship Applications and Faculty Recommendations are accepted until:

Applicants must request 2 faculty recommendations by the end of the Fall semester in order to give the recommenders sufficient time to write outstanding information about you!  Faculty must submit their recommendations online ONLY.  Letters or Recommendation Forms will not be accepted.  Ask your faculty to check their campus email for instructions or to contact their Division office.

How do I find out if I will receive a scholarship?
You will be emailed an invitation to the 2010 May Scholarship Award Night ceremony to your SBVC Student Email account.  All scholarships are announced on that evening. Only awardees will be notified.

When will I receive scholarship funds?
Students will receive scholarship funds before the first day of classes in August provided that they submit adequate proof of enrollment after registering for the Fall 2010 semester. Proof of enrollment must be submitted before any funds can be issued.
