Online tutoring by the Writing Center is now available for students who need assistance with their writing assignments in any 100 level course and above.

Students can submit their assignments via e-mail to tutors who will give suggestions and comments on how to improve their papers.

Writing tutors are specifically trained to assist you with academic writing. They work with you to help you develop your writing skills, are available to help you with writing in all disciplines, can help you learn to evaluate your own writing, and can help you revise your essays.

Note: On-line Tutoring is NOT a proofreading service but a tool to help students to improve their skills as writers.

Online Writing Center Tutoring Instructions

Tutoring on-line is limited to certain days and time. So manage your time accordingly in order to get your essay back with enough time to make any needed revisions. Each paper will be given 30 minutes of tutoring assistance per submission.

Tutors are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays to review your work.

The following tutor schedule applies (except on holidays):

• If your paper is submitted on a Monday, expect to receive it back before 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
• If your paper is submitted on a Tuesday, expect to receive it back before 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday.
• If your paper is submitted on a Wednesday, expect to receive it back before 8:00 P.M. on Thursday.
• If your paper is submitted Thursday through Sunday, expect to receive it back before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
