  • Participation in this class will consist of online interaction. Students must have access to a computer that has a reliable internet connection. Students should access http://online.valleycollege.edu during the week prior to the semester start date. All information regarding this class, including course-specific technology requirements, will be found on that webpage. The course may not be accessible to students until the first day of the class, Monday, January 13, 2014.

Past students have indicated that this meeting is extremely helpful. You are not required to attend but I strongly advise you attend especially if this is your first on-line course.

The orientation sessions for the on-line courses including:
 
Early Beginnings through Gothic  145-70

Meeting in room PS 217 (Physical Sciences Building)

Please PLAN  for a 90 minute session that will be held in the PHYSICAL SCIENCE BUILDING ARCHITECTURE COMPUTER LAB 217

            Wednesday  January 15 from  3:30 - 5 pm
or
             Thursday January 16 from 1 pm - 2:30 pm


Please try to attend one session that is convenient to you.

                        This is the only campus meeting for this course. 

It is not mandatory but is strongly suggested.


Location:  
       
San Bernardino Valley College Campus, 
         NEW Science building, room PS 217 .  
         The meeting will last about 60-70 minutes; 
                             you will have additional time to access some activities.
               Please bring any questions you have.  I will stay until they are answered. 

Parking:   Permits are not needed for this meeting during the first week of class. 

At this meeting -

                 You will receive a demonstration of the course activities, 
                 Meet the instructor and  
                 View the course as it should operate on your computer. 
                 Receive 1 packet of worksheet materials used in the course at no cost 


Course Support  OPTIONAL OPEN LAB is provided in PS 217 providing computer access and instructor support.  In addition you may access the computer lab on a space available basis at the discretion of the evening Architecture Instructors in PS 217 from 6-9 pm in.  You are not required to attend this lab - this is an open opportunity for you to access computers or instructor support if necessary.

Students interested in adding the
course should attend the orientation. ADD PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO STUDENTS who attend the orientation.   Students on the wait-list and attending the orientation will have first priority over those on the waitlist that do not attend the orientation.  All courses are full and closed at this time but openings may become available as students are dropped as no shows in the first week.

I have a wait-list for these courses.   If you are enrolled in the course and - If you do not sign in to the on-line course, attend the orientation or complete the self in introduction the first week of class - you may expect to be dropped.  I will pass your opportunity to participate in the class to someone who is ready to to be active in the course.
