Instructor Comments :
This Human Anatomy course is a hybrid course. The laboratory and testing part of the class take place on campus. The course only meets once a week.
This can be useful, but has drawbacks. It is a very intense course and needs a lot of attention. It requires the student to have a generous amount of self discipline to make sure that work gets done throughout the week without being in class.

It would be helpful and wise for a student to read the first chapter of the textbook before attending the first class meeting. We begin to study on the first day of class. You must attend the first class meeting or you will be dropped.

I suggest a textbook for this course, but it is not necessarily required for the course. Most Anatomy and Physiology textbooks are identical in form and content, so almost any could be used. I have specific reading assignments from the textbook. It would take a bit more work to find the same pages in another book, but it can be done.

I usually can a add a few students to the class on the first day. But, now that Valley College has a wait list, most adds will come from that list. I will use the list on the first day of class as first priority to add. Please don't email or phone me with requests. If you really want a place in the class, check back with registration each morning to see if someone was dropped the night before. Or, show up to the first class meeting of the section that you want to add in order to see if there will be a chance to be added.

See you in class!
