Disabled Student Programs and Services (DSP&S) is designed to meet the individual needs of regularly enrolled, permanently and temporarily disabled students. Upon providing professional verification of a physical, learning, or mental disability, students may obtain a variety of services, including: disability management counseling; test taking accommodations; course materials in Braille, on tape, or in large print formats; the services of sign language interpreters and/or note-takers; tutoring services; and a variety of adapted equipment.

To obtain an accommodation for a disability, a student:

0. Must have a professionally verified disability. Professionals who are qualified to provide verification of a disability include—but are not limited to—physicians, psychologists, learning disabilities specialists, optometrists, and rehabilitation counselors.
0. May consult with a DSP&S faculty or staff member regarding the accommodation request.
0. May inform the instructor of the need for an academic adjustment or auxiliary aid. The student must allow the instructor a reasonable length of time to implement his/her accommodation request and make the necessary adjustments. Either the student or the instructor may choose to consult with a DSP&S faculty/staff member regarding verification or arrangements.
