THE STUDENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS, BY STUDENTS
Room CC107 Campus Center, Phone 384 8233 The Student Assistance Program is designed to help students find solutions for any issue or concern that affects their desire for an education. The program is staffed by Human Service students who undergo classroom training to develop skills at problem solving. Also, Student Assistants are trained to listen, encourage and to offer support to their peers. The Student Assistance Program provides community and campus resources and referrals to all students and their family members. Student Assistants strive to locate no-cost or low-cost services. The student Assistance Program is not a counseling service. Confidentiality is absolute.

Location: Campus Center, Room 107
Lower level, opposite end of hallway from the Bookstore
Hours: 8am to 6pm, Mon. - Thu, Fri 8am to 4:30pm, phone 384 8233

AVAILABLE COMMUNITY RESOURCES & REFERRALS INCLUDE:

Childcare needs, assistance with Utility Bills and Rent, Food Pantries, Food Commodity distributions, Hot Meals, Homeless Shelters, Domestic Violence Shelters, individual and family Counseling Agencies, Support Groups, Alcohol and Drug Programs, Legal Aid, 12 Step Meetings. The Student Assistance Program attempts to locate reliable resources/referrals that will provide services congruent with students needs.
